Leang Sakana rarely read any books before. But now, the 11-year-old has changed her habit after a van loaded with books, magazines and study materials began coming to her village in Kandal Steung district, Kandal province every week.
Sakana and other children here usually come to read and borrow books from this “mobile library,” a project begun in 200o by a local organization that has been steadily growing. VOA Khmer journalist, Kun Chenda reports from Kandal province.
